June 27, 2010:
Thanks to everyone who came out and shredded Riley yesterday and competed in the contest we put on. Steve Urban was the big winner coming in 2nd in the 3-trick line up the euro (3flip)--over the gap (heel flip)--and off the ledge (variel heel); and winning the Tic Tac race (i got 2nd!). He won two boards for those and won another one in the raffle! Yeah Steve! Fellow Redford ripper, Jayson Hass won the three-trick line (3 flip up-frontside flip acrosss-cab off). And Marc Davenport crushed the best trick on the pool coping extention (frontside air 3 ft. out, air to fakie, heelflip grap, 5-0 to fakie). Evan Hutchings, Charlie Ryan, and a few others killed it too. Overall fun day at the park!

SO MANY NEW BOARDS IN!!! New decks in from Plan B, Enjoi, and Almost (Double Inpacts). Between the three, we got in over 30 new decks. Board Vault is looking proper right now. We have over 150 different decks plus a huge selection of PLUS decks! New wheels in too. New Marc Johnson sweaters from Matix. Come on in!!!!
Contest tomorrow at Riley in conjunction with the Thrive Music Festival. Best Trick on the pool coping extention in the flow bowl, and best 3-trick line up the euro, across the gap and off the ledge. And then the very serious TIC TAC RACE!!

I'm pretty hyped on these new custom pocket tees that we've got coming together. As you may know, our homie Matt Hebert has been working here and all his epic Wolfpack sewn clothing has inspired me to get back into doing a little DIY stuff for the shop. It's certainly nothing new as I've hand sewn tags and things for the shop and for Daykare for years, but I haven't done anything like that in awhile. Sometimes I guess you just need good inspiration... Thanks Matt!
Check out the pic's and for a much better view, come into the shop and peep these while they're here. The first run, there are only 14. I'm sewing them myself so they'll probably only be available a few at a time as I get them done. It takes over an hour for each tee! I hope you like them.

Had a fun Memorial Day sesh with Hebert and Carlsen on Monday. Much respect to all the soldiers who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

I took my (broken) lomography fisheye apart and afixed the lens to my digi. It looked pretty good, so I busted up to Riley to check it out. Thanks to Steve Regish for spending what seemed like FOREVER filming me get this together!

Saw some sh!t go down last night! Kenny Walsh, Joe Krok and Joel Shoener putting it down! Had a really good time skating around downtown Detroit with about 20 dudes. For me, there's not much more fun skateboarding than pushing down the street and making obstacels out of what's in front of you. I fully suggest you do that on a regular basis. It can be done anywhere! The accessibility of street skating is what has made it the most popular aspect of skateboarding. You can do it in your neighborhood, the city, or anywhere that you can go from point A to point B. Get creative and go skate the streets!!!

New DVS, Daewon 9, Almost collab shoe in. See pic's. They come with an Almost, Daewon Hand board. The shoe box has the board graphic on it and it's a tribute to the World Industries Love Child video from the 90s.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!! Get out there and enjoy this sunny, summer weather and learn new tricks. It's never too late. I'm in the process of learning pivot fakie's right now. Did it first try on the mini quarters at Riley the other day. My goal is to take it to the steep quarter without coping.
Posted a bunch of new photos of all the new shoes we've been getting in. Don't wait for me to post it to think we have it! COME INTO THE SHOP!!! We're getting big shipments of new stuff every day!
You may have noticed the new info sign up at Riley. We're happy to donate that to the park so we can post flyers for upcomming events, etc. I haven't gotten a key yet, but make sure you take a look at that thing to see what's up. It's located by the pavillion.
